Administration
Pam Mertz – Administrative Assistant
Self-dubbed as the "Queen of Paper Stew" because of her ability to generate such massive stacks of paperwork she can practically hide behind them, Ms. Pam has been a vital part of this organization for over 20 years. It only takes a few moments with Pam to realize why she has enjoyed such a wonderful career in our school. Pam's positive attitude and warm smile have taken on an iconic role within the organization.
Still looking for Pam and cannot find her on top of, behind or beneath the paperwork? Check the swings. Pam enjoys spending time swinging in the morning sunshine, reconnecting with the childlike joy she shares with the students of this school. Assuming that Pam’s value lies solely in her unbridled spirit and carefree personality would be a serious oversight. Pam has guided the inner workings of this school with the skill of an administrator, plays the piano with tremendous talent, and can write words that inspire the heart and engage the mind.
Pam’s love for the students of this school is visible to all who pass through these halls. Ask Pam what it is that keeps her passions high and commitment to this school so deep and she will instantly respond, “The endless variety; no two days are alike.” Being a part of so many aspects of education keeps Pam hopping all day long. “I never stayed at a job for more than two years before this one. There was no change, just the same things over and over. Now, I love working with people of all ages – new little ones each year, older students, parents. It is great to make friends with little children.” There is no mistaking the fact that the feelings are mutual. Students trickle into Pam’s office all day to share hugs, tell stories, and have their great healer bandage their wounds.
