Philosophy

Three core values have been established to provide a foundation for the changes at Summit Christian Academy:

• Discipleship– First and foremost, SCA seeks to produce students of high moral character who place supreme value on living a life that focuses on serving others. The power of love, as demonstrated by Jesus, when incorporated into the life of a student will give them the ability make rich the lives of those around them. Two primary areas are emphasized as students mature:
• Leadership – A great person makes those around them happy, while a great leader can produce a movement that changes the world.
• Service – No matter how great the achievements of any one man or woman, willingness to serve those in need is the true test of strength. While climbing the ladder of success takes strength of mind, the humility to remove rank and drop to a knee – to extend a helping hand – requires strength of character.
• Strong Academics – While producing students who love others with a sacrificial love, rather than a superficial love, is of great priority in producing a wonderful student environment, Summit Christian Academy also places great emphasis on quality academics. A student who has developed a passion for learning and has achieved excellence in education will be better served to be an impact player as a citizen of this country and in service to others.
• Celebration of Diversity – All children have the potential to be great. Regardless of race, gender, or socio-economic status all children can achieve greatness. While all people are different and will stride toward different goals, none should be limited by the circumstance within which they were created.
